"Very smooth and swinging, the boys have got some style that's for sure"         Del Villareal, rockabilly DJ (Go Kat Go, Live 365, WCBN88.3 Ann Arbour)

"With their debut record, Out of the Past, The Palomars... prove that a new generation of Canadians are just as capable of understanding these roots genres and delivering their own brand of it with authentic sincerity." Buster Fayte, rockabilly blogger (www.rockabillyromp.com)

"From the beginning, this CD just plain sounds good: all the instruments, and the vocals, are well recorded, and in the right place in the mix. There's an overall clarity and warmth to the sound, which really showcases the band's sense of dynamics; it's obvious some real thought has gone into the arrangements of the songs."Dave Schroeder, CD reviewer for Western Swing Music Society newsletter

The Canadian band from Vancouver have created a masterpiece. Its one of the best records we have heard in a while. A mix of original compositions with some well covered classics thrown in for good measure."Exposed Music Vintage Blog, Jan 2017

Album Reviews for "Supper Club Riot"

The opening track Build Your Gallows High is classic rock that could be right off of some long-lost Texas outlaw country album. In fact, singer Hammel has a bit of the same twang and blues style of the great Jimmie Dale Gilmore, able to hang on a final note past the point it should work and then slide right into the next verse with liquid flow.
Stuart Derdeyn, Vancouver Province Newspaper music reviewer

An amazing set of tracks with a great country swing feel as well as some classic rock and roll cuts that are sure to fill up the dance floor. You guys had me hooked with "Build Your Gallows High"... then non-stop from there!        DJ J.F.Sebastian, Royal City Swing
